We can do nothing apart from You and in fact we are nothing without You. But you are reconciling the world back through You, day by day. It is such a privilege to be a part of this wonderful work You are doing Jesus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are in Awe of You my Lord, Your grace is sufficient for us all and You have already given us everything in Your victory at the cross.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Hallelujah! Jesus, You are worthy of all praise and worship for ever and ever. Amen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-3-color\"><strong>2 Corinthians 3:5 <\/strong>  Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as\u00a0being\u00a0from ourselves, but\u00a0our sufficiency\u00a0is\u00a0from God<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-3-color\"><strong>Psalm 9:1 <\/strong>  I will praise\u00a0You,\u00a0O\u00a0Lord, with my whole heart;<br>I will tell of all Your marvellous works.<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Cashel Mall, Christchurch. 8 October 2025\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/1bYdDWj38Wc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Today was a lovely sunny day , Thank You Lord. The streets are busy as usual. It does seem like this is the go to place for the people of Christchurch. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cashel Mall runs all the way up Colombo street. Then there is the crossing Mall which also comes out onto Colombo Street. He has been joining us in preaching the gospel to the masses of people moving around us. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have enjoyed a very special fellowship with the brothers when ever we meet up as we reverently recite Gods word to each other in one Spirit. Spirit of God the Father in Christ Jesus, our Lord and Saviour, our Advocate and Counsellor. Thank You Jesus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-3-color\"><strong>Hebrews 10:24-25  <\/strong> And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works,\u00a0not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as\u00a0is\u00a0the manner of some, but exhorting\u00a0one another,\u00a0and\u00a0so much the more as you see\u00a0the Day approaching.<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-3-color\"><strong>Proverbs 27:17 <\/strong>  As\u00a0iron sharpens iron,<br>So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1920\" src=\"https:\/\/soulsforchrist.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/20251008_161421-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1747\" srcset=\"https:\/\/soulsforchrist.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/20251008_161421-scaled.jpg 2560w, https:\/\/soulsforchrist.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/20251008_161421-1000x750.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/soulsforchrist.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/20251008_161421-2000x1500.jpg 2000w, https:\/\/soulsforchrist.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/20251008_161421-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/soulsforchrist.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/20251008_161421-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/soulsforchrist.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/20251008_161421-2048x1536.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 2560px) 100vw, 2560px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I met Tiago and Ngarye on the street. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tiago had already given his heart to Jesus and on fire for Him, as we fellowship together. Tiago had been sowing many seeds in his friend Ngarye, sharing Jesus with her, but she had not yet made the decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Well I knew immediately in the Spirit, this was a divine appointment for her. She willingly, without hesitation agreed to accept Jesus as her Lord and Saviour as she prayed with me to surrender her life to Jesus, Hallelujah! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This was a very joyous occasion as we all celebrated and hugged together. Tiago is very happy for his friend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-3-color\"><strong>2 Corinthians 6:2 <\/strong>  We then,\u00a0as\u00a0workers together\u00a0with Him\u00a0also\u00a0plead with\u00a0you\u00a0not to receive the grace of God in vain.\u00a0For He says:<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-3-color\">\u201cIn an acceptable time I have heard you,<br>And in the day of salvation I have helped you.\u201d<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-3-color\">Behold, now&nbsp;is&nbsp;the accepted time; behold, now&nbsp;is&nbsp;the day of salvation.<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Occasionally God gives me some very special moments of joy in its fullness. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Obviously every salvation decision is a joyous occasion, but sometimes God&#8217;s timing is so evidently perfect. I see Him touch people so powerfully as they light up in His presence and glory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No man can do this, but I am truly blessed to be involved in His miraculous, transformational work, of reconciliation, witnessing His perfect love in the people, he shows me. Thank You Jesus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-3-color\"><strong>Psalm 16:11 <\/strong>  You will show me the\u00a0path of life;<br>In Your presence\u00a0is\u00a0fullness of joy;<br>At Your right hand\u00a0are\u00a0pleasures forevermore.<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-3-color\"><strong>Mark 10:27 <\/strong>  But Jesus looked at them and said,\u00a0\u201cWith men\u00a0it is\u00a0impossible, but not\u00a0with God; for with God all things are possible.<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1920\" src=\"https:\/\/soulsforchrist.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/20251008_165754-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1748\" srcset=\"https:\/\/soulsforchrist.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/20251008_165754-scaled.jpg 2560w, https:\/\/soulsforchrist.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/20251008_165754-1000x750.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/soulsforchrist.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/20251008_165754-2000x1500.jpg 2000w, https:\/\/soulsforchrist.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/20251008_165754-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/soulsforchrist.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/20251008_165754-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/soulsforchrist.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/20251008_165754-2048x1536.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 2560px) 100vw, 2560px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I met Graham, by his own confession, an ex gang member, who travelled from Picton to Christchurch on his bike. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He has a small trailer which he tows behind that he calls home. Graham is already surrendered to the Lord and shared with us how Jesus help him overcome drugs and gang life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He told us that, the old him is dead and gone. I sensed the peace in his heart that surpasses all knowledge of the world. This peace only comes from Jesus, praise God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>J<\/strong><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-3-color\"><strong>ohn 14:26-27  <\/strong> But\u00a0the\u00a0Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will\u00a0send in My name,\u00a0He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.\u00a0Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Well today I want to thank You Jesus for all YOU have done for the people of Christchurch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thank You for answering our prayers of revival and salvation over this city and nation. The main mall was closed to traffic on 11\u00a0January 1982 and formally reopened as a pedestrian mall on 7\u00a0August, but it was not until 1992 that the entire mall was paved. The mall was redeveloped between 2006 and 2009, and track was installed for an expansion of the heritage tram network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The September\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/2010_Canterbury_earthquake\">2010 Canterbury earthquake<\/a>\u00a0caused damage to some buildings, but the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/December_2010_Christchurch_earthquake\">Boxing Day aftershock<\/a>, directly underneath the city, caused even more damage, including building failures. The 6.3 magnitude February\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/2011_Christchurch_earthquake\">2011 Christchurch earthquake<\/a>\u00a0devastated the mall; the fa\u00e7ades of many buildings collapsed and there were several fatalities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/soulsforchrist.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/image-3.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1791\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The centre of the city was subsequently closed to allow demolition work to proceed. Structures affected included most of the heritage buildings in the mall that are or were registered by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Heritage_New_Zealand\">Heritage New Zealand<\/a>.
