We are seeing the miraculous, as people are drawn in, to the light of Christ in us, praise God. We witnessed a great harvest of precious souls today, as one hundred and forty five people turned to Jesus for their promise of salvation through Him. We checked out the saltwater pools right next to the sea. We also found a shark alert bell, next to the sea wall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The town and buildings are very old. Its like going back in time. There were a few people out and about in the town, but fairly quiet. Even so Holy Spirit lead two young ladies to Jesus, glory to Him alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> We then decided to moved on to St Kilda, a few kilometres away. Another quaint little town, with a busy port. But once again quiet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The brothers were keen to try some local fish and chips. I don&#8217;t usually eat fish and chips, but I spotted Blue Cod on the menu, my favourite fish. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unfortunately it turned out to be a disappointment, when I opened the thick batter, to find a wispy small streak of fish inside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The day turned out to be a lovely scenic tour of Dunedin, which we all enjoyed, Thank You Lord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-3-color\"><strong>Psalm 19:1.<\/strong>  The&nbsp;heavens declare the glory of God;<br>And the&nbsp;firmament&nbsp;shows&nbsp;His handiwork.<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>5th December<\/strong>: We were back in Dunedin, City Central, witnessing in our usual locations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Friday&#8217;s seem to be a busier day. Schools finished early also, as it was the last day of the year for many schools. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We were all very busy for the day, seeing one hundred and seventy four people give their hearts to Jesus, Thank You Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-3-color\"><strong>John 3; 14-15.  <\/strong> And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so&nbsp;must the Son of Man be lifted up,<sup>&nbsp;<\/sup>that whoeverbelieves in Him should&nbsp;not perish but&nbsp;have eternal life.<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2193\" height=\"1357\" src=\"https:\/\/soulsforchrist.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/20251205_150620-scaled-e1765167574598.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2394\" srcset=\"https:\/\/soulsforchrist.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/20251205_150620-scaled-e1765167574598.jpg 2193w, https:\/\/soulsforchrist.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/20251205_150620-scaled-e1765167574598-1000x619.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/soulsforchrist.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/20251205_150620-scaled-e1765167574598-2000x1238.jpg 2000w, https:\/\/soulsforchrist.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/20251205_150620-scaled-e1765167574598-768x475.jpg 768w, https:\/\/soulsforchrist.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/20251205_150620-scaled-e1765167574598-1536x950.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/soulsforchrist.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/20251205_150620-scaled-e1765167574598-2048x1267.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 2193px) 100vw, 2193px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Brother Logen and myself went to visit a local Drop-in Centre for the homeless. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We met brother Micheal who has been serveing and coordinating this facility with the Lord for over twenty years. Logen remembered Micheal when he lived in Dunedin, all that time ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Centre is well equiped with various resources, table tennis, pool tables, library, and kitchen, where they offer a free meal every day, praise God. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Logen learned how many of the people he knew from twenty years ago had passed away. Living on the streets in addictions is extremely hard on the body. Sadly many lives are cut short.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-3-color\"><strong>1 Peter 5:8.<\/strong> <\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-3-color\">Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,&nbsp;casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-3-color\">Be&nbsp;sober, be&nbsp;vigilant;&nbsp;because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> But praise God for people like Micheal, who offer up their lives to help the despised and forgotten, whom Jesus also loves. Only the love of Christ can produce this kind of compassion. To love people like Jesus loves us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-3-color\"><strong>2 Corinthians 1:3-4. <\/strong> Blessed&nbsp;be&nbsp;the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,&nbsp;who&nbsp;comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any&nbsp;trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-3-color\"><strong>Colossians 3:12. <\/strong>  <sup>&nbsp;<\/sup>Therefore,&nbsp;as&nbsp;the&nbsp;elect of God, holy and beloved,&nbsp;put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1357\" height=\"2010\" src=\"https:\/\/soulsforchrist.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/20251205_175216-scaled-e1765167687478.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2395\" srcset=\"https:\/\/soulsforchrist.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/20251205_175216-scaled-e1765167687478.jpg 1357w, https:\/\/soulsforchrist.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/20251205_175216-scaled-e1765167687478-675x1000.jpg 675w, https:\/\/soulsforchrist.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/20251205_175216-scaled-e1765167687478-1350x2000.jpg 1350w, https:\/\/soulsforchrist.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/20251205_175216-scaled-e1765167687478-768x1138.jpg 768w, https:\/\/soulsforchrist.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/20251205_175216-scaled-e1765167687478-1037x1536.jpg 1037w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1357px) 100vw, 1357px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Brother Logen put us on to a free water supply while we were in Dunedin. The Speights Brewery provides this free drinking water supply to the public. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apparently they have drawn all their water supply for the brewery, from a 70 meter bore on site. The water taste good too, praise God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-3-color\"><strong>John 4:14. <\/strong> Jesus answered and said to her,&nbsp;\u201cWhoever drinks of this water will thirst again,&nbsp;but&nbsp;whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. Daniel and Jess are now looking for a camper to travel and share Jesus, praise God. Holy Spirit is leading them into powerful ministry with Jesus. The harbour and hills around Dunedin are the remnants of an extinct volcano. The city suburbs extend out into the surrounding valleys and hills, onto the isthmus of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Otago_Peninsula\">Otago Peninsula<\/a>, and along the shores of the Otago Harbour and the Pacific Ocean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Archaeological evidence points to lengthy occupation of the area by M\u0101ori prior to the arrival of Europeans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Scottish settlement was established in 1848 by the Lay Association of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Free_Church_of_Scotland_(1843%E2%80%931900)\">Free Church of Scotland<\/a>&nbsp;and between 1855 and 1900 many thousands of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Scottish_New_Zealanders\">Scots<\/a>&nbsp;emigrated to the incorporated city. The city saw substantial migration from mainland China at the same time, predominantly from&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Guangdong\">Guangdong<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Guangxi\">Guangxi<\/a>.<sup><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dunedin#cite_note-23\">[21]<\/a><\/sup>&nbsp;Dunedin is home to New Zealand&#8217;s oldest&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Chinese_New_Zealanders\">Chinese community<\/a>.<sup><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dunedin#cite_note-:0-14\">[13]<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, Dunedin has a diverse economy which includes manufacturing, publishing, arts, tourism and technology-based industries. The mainstay of the city&#8217;s economy remains centred on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tertiary_education_in_New_Zealand\">tertiary education<\/a>, with students from the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/University_of_Otago\">University of Otago<\/a>, New Zealand&#8217;s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/List_of_universities_in_New_Zealand\">oldest university<\/a>, and the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Otago_Polytechnic\">Otago Polytechnic<\/a>, accounting for a large proportion of the population; 21.6 per cent of the city&#8217;s population was aged between 15 and 24 at the 2006 census, compared to the New Zealand average of 14.2 per cent.<sup><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dunedin#cite_note-population-24\">[22]<\/a><\/sup>&nbsp;Dunedin is also noted for its vibrant music scene, as the 1980s birthplace of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dunedin_sound\">Dunedin sound<\/a>&nbsp;(which heavily influenced&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Grunge\">grunge<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Indie_rock\">indie<\/a>&nbsp;and modern&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Alternative_rock\">alternative rock<\/a>).<sup><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dunedin#cite_note-25\">[23]<\/a><\/sup>&nbsp;In 2014, the city was designated as a UNESCO&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/City_of_Literature\">City of Literature<\/a>.<sup><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dunedin#cite_note-UNESCO-26\">[24]<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dunedin\"><strong>Wikipedia<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Praise God, glory to Jesus for our wonderful time here in Dunedin.
