{"id":2893,"date":"2026-02-16T00:30:00","date_gmt":"2026-02-16T00:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/soulsforchrist.co.nz\/blog\/?p=2893"},"modified":"2026-02-22T21:44:39","modified_gmt":"2026-02-22T21:44:39","slug":"130-8-feb-tahunanui-beach-fellowship-motueka-valley-fellowship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/soulsforchrist.co.nz\/blog\/?p=2893","title":{"rendered":"130. 8-Feb 2026: Tahunanui Beach Fellowship &#038; Motueka Valley Fellowship"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Hello friends, we were very blessed today as we were invited to, two fellowships. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Renee, a sister in Christ, whom I have know for many years, invited us to Tahunanui beach in the morning, where three Churches joined together for fellowship. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-3-color\"><strong>Psalm 133:1 <\/strong> Behold, how good and how pleasant&nbsp;it is<br>For&nbsp;brethren to dwell together in unity!<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aspire, Ywam Nelson and another.  It was lovely to catch up with Renee and friends in Christ, to talk about new and exciting things, God is doing through us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Renee is a currently a staff member at Ywam, Nelson base. She recently went on a mission to Japan, Kazakhstan, Turkey and Mongolia. Praise God for giving Renee a great gift of compassion for people. She is a mother figure to many youth who come to Ywam, Praise God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-3-color\"><strong>Mathew 12:46-50.<\/strong>  While He was still talking to the multitudes,\u00a0behold, His mother and\u00a0brothers stood outside, seeking to speak with Him. Then one said to Him, \u201cLook,\u00a0Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside, seeking to speak with You.<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-3-color\">But He answered and said to the one who told Him,\u00a0\u201cWho is My mother and who are My brothers?\u201d\u00a0And He stretched out His hand toward His disciples and said,\u00a0\u201cHere are My mother and My\u00a0brothers!\u00a0For\u00a0whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the afternoon Dave invited us to their home group in a big old barn, on a farm, in Motueka valley. We enjoyed a lovely fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ. We were asked to share what God is doing through Souls For Christ outreach and of course we did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The group were encouraged and immediately, sister Jude and brother Reg, who live in Motueka, suggested doing an outreach at the local Sunday market. Praise God. So plans started to take shape immediately. Thank You Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We enjoyed our time with new friends in Christ and thanked the Lord for His endless love and grace, abounding for us and through us. The area formerly served as the main centre of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tobacco\">tobacco<\/a>&nbsp;growing in New Zealand until the early 1980s.<sup><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Motueka#cite_note-:1-5\">[5]<\/a><\/sup>&nbsp;A number of small&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Vineyard\">vineyards<\/a>&nbsp;have also been developed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nearby beaches (such as&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Kaiteriteri\">Kaiteriteri<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/M%C4%81rahau\">M\u0101rahau<\/a>) are very popular with holidaymakers, and the area around Motueka has one of the country&#8217;s highest annual sunshine-hour indices.<sup><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Motueka#cite_note-6\">[6]<\/a><\/sup>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Riwaka\">Riwaka<\/a>&nbsp;lies 4.8&nbsp;km north of Motueka via&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/State_Highway_60_(New_Zealand)\">State Highway 60<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Nelson,_New_Zealand\">Nelson<\/a>&nbsp;is 41.7&nbsp;km to the east of Motueka via State Highway 60 and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/State_Highway_6_(New_Zealand)\">State Highway 6<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Motueka, as one of the nearest towns to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Abel_Tasman_National_Park\">Abel Tasman<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Kahurangi_National_Park\">Kahurangi National Parks<\/a>, has become the base of many tourism ventures, as well as in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Nelson_Lakes_National_Park\">Nelson Lakes National Park<\/a>, and in other recreational areas. Sea&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Kayaking\">kayaking<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tramping_in_New_Zealand\">tramping<\/a>, and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Canyoning\">canyoning<\/a>&nbsp;now attract many thousands of visitors each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many artists live in the area around Motueka, especially&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Pottery\">potters<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Reggae\">reggae<\/a>&nbsp;musicians. The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Riverside_Community,_New_Zealand\">Riverside Community<\/a>, in nearby&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Lower_Moutere\">Lower Moutere<\/a>, is a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Pacifism\">pacifist<\/a>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Intentional_community\">intentional community<\/a>.
