Also next door is the Pakaitore Occupation celebration, where Local Maori come together in remembrance of that day in 1995.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On our way to the market we came to the Pakaitore celebration first, so we sensed this was where the Lord was leading us first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-3-color\"><strong>Romans 8:14 <\/strong>  For\u00a0as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Sharing Jesus at Pakaitore, in Whanganui 28 February 2026\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/l_ksYTjMbuI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>There were so many people here, enjoying the music and food. Lots of local school and sport fundraisers for the kids. We decided to just walk around witnessing to people, one on one. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, we did pray for groups of youth at times too. Some of the youth would even come back with their friends or relatives to receive Jesus into their hearts, Praise God and glory to Jesus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The atmosphere was peaceful and joyful. The Holy Spirit was moving powerfully as many people were open to receiving Jesus into their hearts. Actually One hundred and fifty seven precious souls declared Jesus their Lord and Saviour today, Glory to Him alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-3-color\"><strong>John 15:26<\/strong>  But when the\u00a0Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father,\u00a0He will testify of Me.<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-3-color\"><strong>Titus 3:5<\/strong>  But when\u00a0the kindness and the love of\u00a0God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through\u00a0the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,\u00a0whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior,\u00a0that having been justified by His grace\u00a0we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1775\" src=\"https:\/\/soulsforchrist.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/20260228_105425-scaled-e1772265703116.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3070\" srcset=\"https:\/\/soulsforchrist.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/20260228_105425-scaled-e1772265703116.jpg 1920w, https:\/\/soulsforchrist.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/20260228_105425-scaled-e1772265703116-1000x924.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/soulsforchrist.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/20260228_105425-scaled-e1772265703116-768x710.jpg 768w, https:\/\/soulsforchrist.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/20260228_105425-scaled-e1772265703116-1536x1420.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1920px) 100vw, 1920px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Praise God, we  met a new brother in Christ, who did not hesitate to receive prayer and the gift of life in Christ Jesus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-3-color\"><strong>Romans:8:16 <\/strong> The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We ended up staying at the celebration all day.
