Today is our last day of evangelising in New Plymouth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We have really enjoyed our time here, as many people have been open to hearing the good news.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Also our beloved brothers in Christ, David and Paul, have been wonderful hosts. Preparing wonderful meals for us each night and even a bed for brother Pio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-3-color\"><strong>1 John 3:18 <\/strong> My little children,&nbsp;let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Gospel preached in New Plymouth 6 March 2026\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/IDelfrih-9M?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As usual, before heading out onto the street, we went into prayer with our God and Creator, interceding for the people of New Plymouth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Taking authority over all demonic strongholds and asking the Lord to go before us, to bring across our path the many predestined divine appointments, Amen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-3-color\"><strong>Luke 10:19<\/strong>. We met a man waiting for his partner at their car. He was happy for me to share Jesus with him, not knowing much about the Saviour of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He gladly invited Jesus into his heart, repenting of all his sin. He declared Him his Lord and Saviour and we rejoiced together, praise God, Gory to Jesus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-3-color\"><strong>Acts 3:19.<\/strong>  Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Singing Praises to Jesus in New Plymouth 9 March 2026\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/CyA5xCe7S-4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Soldier for Christ, Dayton was out front of the mall entrance again, when we arrived, this time with a friend. Shining their beautiful lights of Christ, for all to see and hear, Amen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-3-color\"><strong>Ephesians 5:8.<\/strong>  For you were once darkness, but now&nbsp;you are&nbsp;light in the Lord. Walk as children of light<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-3-color\"><strong>John 8:12. <\/strong> Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying,&nbsp;\u201cI am the light of the world. He did not hesitate to say yes to prayer. God had prepared him for this divine appointment today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I sensed, in this moment, the seed of Christ fell into well cultivated soil. He left with the hope in Christ, firmly planted, Amen. Thank You Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-3-color\"><strong>Isaiah 53:10.<\/strong>  Yet it pleased the&nbsp;Lord&nbsp;to&nbsp;bruise Him;<br>He has put&nbsp;Him&nbsp;to grief.<br>When You make His soul&nbsp;an offering for sin,<br>He shall see&nbsp;His&nbsp;seed, He shall prolong&nbsp;His&nbsp;days,<br>And the pleasure of the&nbsp;Lord&nbsp;shall prosper in His hand.<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We met many people as they passed by, Thank You Holy Spirit. We handed out many calendars and tracts to the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Seventy people prayed with us to receive Jesus into their hearts as Holy Spirit ministered with them the revelation of Christ, our Holy High Priest and hope of glory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-3-color\"><strong>Colossians 1:27.<\/strong>  To them God willed to make known what are&nbsp;the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles:&nbsp;which is&nbsp;Christ in you,&nbsp;the hope of glory.<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Brother David, invited us over for dinner again, so we headed around to His home. We decided to park the bus and van, on the side of the road, out front for the night. We enjoyed yet another lovely meal and fellowship together, praise God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thank You Jesus for connecting us with beautiful brothers and sisters around New Zealand. By Your Spirit, You flow through each of us in unity and love. This includes New Plymouth City (60,200),&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Waitara,_New_Zealand\">Waitara<\/a>&nbsp;(7,720),&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Inglewood,_New_Zealand\">Inglewood<\/a>&nbsp;(3,970),&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/%C5%8Cakura\">\u014cakura<\/a>&nbsp;(1,780),&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/%C5%8Ckato\">\u014ckato<\/a>&nbsp;(561) and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Urenui\">Urenui<\/a>&nbsp;(429).<sup><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/New_Plymouth#cite_note-NZ_population_data_2018-2\">[2]<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The city itself is a service centre for the region&#8217;s principal economic activities, including intensive pastoral activities (mainly&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dairy_farming\">dairy farming<\/a>) as well as&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Petroleum\">oil<\/a>, natural gas and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Petrochemical\">petrochemical<\/a>&nbsp;exploration and production. It is also the region&#8217;s financial centre as the home of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/TSB_(New_Zealand)\">TSB Bank<\/a>&nbsp;(formerly the Taranaki Savings Bank), the largest of the remaining non-government New Zealand-owned banks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Notable features are the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Botanic_garden\">botanic garden<\/a>&nbsp;(i.e.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Pukekura_Park\">Pukekura Park<\/a>), the critically acclaimed Len Lye Centre and Art Gallery, the 13&nbsp;km (8.1&nbsp;mi)&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/New_Plymouth_Coastal_Walkway\">New Plymouth Coastal Walkway<\/a>&nbsp;alongside the Tasman Sea, the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Len_Lye\">Len Lye<\/a>-designed 45-metre-tall (148&nbsp;ft) artwork known as the&nbsp;<em><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Wind_Wand\">Wind Wand<\/a><\/em>, Paritutu Rock, and views of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mount_Taranaki\">Mount Taranaki<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">New Plymouth was awarded the most liveable city (for a population between 75,000\u2013150,000) by the International Awards for Liveable Communities in 2021. In 2023, New Plymouth was awarded New Zealand&#8217;s most beautiful small city by Keep New Zealand Beautiful.<sup><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/New_Plymouth#cite_note-3\">[3]<\/a><\/sup>&nbsp;It also won multiple awards in 2008. The city was in 2010 chosen as one of two walking &amp; cycling &#8220;Model Communities&#8221; by the government.
