52. 20-Aug 2025: Petone

Hello brother and sisters in Christ.

Today we started early, arriving at Upper Hutt Train Station. We found it to be very quiet, but the Lord still made divine appointments for a few commuters. Once there, we decided to check out a few other stations, with a few more people surrendering their hearts to Jesus. The weather was windy and cold, but we are thankful to Jesus for strengthening us.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who Strengthens me.

We then went back home for a rest, later we then met up at Petone Train Station at 2.30pm. Once again it was very quiet with a few salvations, glory to Jesus.

We then went to Petone – Pak n Save, where there was a nice big cover over the carpark. We witnessed to people going to and fro, with some amazing divine appointments.

A 95 year old man, Sharyn prayed for, surrendered his life to Jesus. All up for the day, Jesus received 51 souls into His arms. We were glad we persisted so these precious people could be set free from sin, healed and saved, Amen.

1 Corinthians 9:16-19 For if I [merely] preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast about, for I am compelled [that is, absolutely obligated to do it]. Woe to me if I do not preach the good news [of salvation]!

For if I do this work of my own free will, then I have a reward; but if it is not of my will [but by God’s choosing], I have been entrusted with a [sacred] stewardship.

What then is my reward? [Just this:] that, when I preach the gospel, I may offer the gospel without charge [to everyone], so as not to take advantage of my rights [as a preacher and apostle] in [preaching] the gospel.

For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a slave to everyone, so that I may win more [for Christ].

An update for Monday, Tuesday, our days of rest, 18-19th August.

As mentioned previously, Mondays and Tuesdays are our rest days, having worked on the streets the rest of the week including weekends.

Monday we enjoyed another, amazingly anointed prayer session. Tony and Pio on the guitars, and everyone singing together praises and worship to our Lord and Saviour. We prayed for Wellington region and the nation.

Tuesday Tony invited us for an evening barbecue. We were delighted to catch up, and fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ there.

Guest speaker Raj shared with us an amazing house church planting and discipleship ministry. Where people are encouraged to start prayer meetings at their homes, which will turn into discipleship and church at home.

A move of God which has had great success in India. We look forward to learning more about this ministry, connecting with them to hopefully adopt these techniques for His glory. Praise God.

Hebrews 10:25 …not forsaking our meeting together [as believers for worship and instruction], as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more [faithfully] as you see the day [of Christ’s return] approaching.
