73. 23-Sep 2025: Blenheim, Marlborough

Praise God we are here in the top of the South Island.

We faired well our brothers and sisters in Christ around Wellington and caught the 1.30 pm ferry sailing to Picton.

We left Wellington in the midst of rain and high winds. As we arrived in Picton, we were welcomed with blue skies and light winds, praise God.

We had been praying against the wet weather forecast for Marlborough and God apparently heard our prayers, Hallelujah! Thank you Lord.

1 John 5:14-15 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

Gale force winds and rain were buffeting Wellington City as we waited for the ferry.

While I waited, I made myself a nice hot chocolate drink and enjoyed a lovely sandwich, Sharyn had given me for the trip.

We enjoyed our trip across the Cook Strait.

I used the time to work on the blog and have a bite to eat. We went up onto the top deck to get a view of the beautiful Queen Charlotte Sounds.

I am very familiar with the sounds, as I lived in Marlborough for 12 years, quite some time ago.

Brother Pio and Logan met Philip and his brother on the ferry.

Of course the conversation turned to Jesus. After receiving the gospel message they both eagerly decided to receive the greatest gift of all, everlasting life through Jesus Christ.

Brand new believers, praise God. They had been diving at a local beach in Wellington, so gifted the brothers some Kina and Paua from our suppliers.

John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name

Today being the 23rd of September, we enjoyed a nice relaxing day in the sunshine capital of New Zealand.

We temporarily lost brother Pio last night when we left Blenheim. Both Logen and myself thought he was driving behind us in the van, but when we arrived at the camp, no sign of him.

He wasn’t answering his phone, so we prayed and asked The Lord to help him find his way to the camp.

Psalm 18:6 In my distress I called upon the Lord,
And cried out to my God;
He heard my voice from His temple,
And my cry came before Him, even to His ears.

Finally he answered his pone 2 hours later reporting that he thought we went another way and his phone was out of credit.

Thank You Lord for answering our prayers once again, and helping brother Pio to arrive safely.

Psalm 34:17 The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears,
And delivers them out of all their troubles.

I hope to catch up with my two son’s while here in Blenheim. Will be great to see them again and spend time with them.

Thank You Father God for getting us down here safely to our location. Thank You for always making a way for us. We reach forward to the Goal of the upward call in Christ Jesus. Amen.
