Joshua 6:20
So the people shouted when the priests blew the trumpets. And it happened when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat. Then the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.

This morning the Lord showed me the story of Jericho and how it symbolizes our salvation.
Joshua is Jesus
The Lord saves.
God stopped the Jordan
He made a path to reach us.
12 stones in Gilgal
Remember who stopped the waters of our lives to come and save us, God Himself.
Rehab the prostitute: Represents us, when we prostituted ourselves to the enemy within our walls.
But we opened ourselves to God, and let Him in. He gave us a promise of salvation, we accepted His covenant.
Jesus came with His angel armies, with all His power and glory. He spoke with a two edged sword and the enemies walls filled with darkness, came tumbling down. (This still brings tears to my eyes)
The enemy
Carnal mind, alters to other gods, evil abominations, perversions, selfishness, every unclean thing. Totally and completely destroyed, (none left alive and everything burned with fire)
Rehab, her father’s household and all that she had, dwells in Israel
We are grafted into Israel, our promise land and inheritance, through the cleansing blood of Jesus
Abstain from accursed things, but silver and gold come into the treasury of the Lord
What is good in our house/ temple He keeps, but warns us not to keep anything from the enemy. ( Any sin )
Defeat at AI by the Amorites
A warning, If you keep anything from the enemy ( sin ) you will be delivered into his hands.
Achan and all his family stoned to death.
A warning of the consequences of disobedience, of not keeping God’s commandments and continuing in sin ( Is death )
The promise land
The Kingdom of Heaven, alongside our Comander and Chief, King Jesus for ever. Amen 🙏
