Hallelujah! Jesus is alive and with us my beloved friends in Christ.
On 29th of September, we travelled from Blenheim to Kaikoura. We stopped in Ward to see my old home and property. At one point for a split second, I examined whether I should call in, that I might revisit old painful memories. But in my spirit, I discerned that all that pain and trauma has already been taken away completely by Jesus. I can say without any doubt, that all past sorrows have no relevance to me now, as I have completely transitioned from darkness to light.
All the glory belongs to Jesus, because He did it all for me. Thank You Jesus, my Lord, my King and my Saviour. Amen.
Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
Colossians 2:9-15 For in Him all the fullness of Deity (the Godhead) dwells in bodily form [completely expressing the divine essence of God]. And in Him you have been made complete [achieving spiritual stature through Christ], and He is the head over all rule and authority [of every angelic and earthly power]. In Him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, but by the [spiritual] circumcision of Christ in the stripping off of the body of the flesh [the sinful carnal nature],
having been buried with Him in baptism and raised with Him [to a new life] through [your] faith in the working of God, [as displayed] when He raised Christ from the dead. When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh (worldliness, manner of life), God made you alive together with Christ, having [freely] forgiven us all our sins,
having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of legal demands [which were in force] against us and which were hostile to us. And this certificate He has set aside and completely removed by nailing it to the cross. When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities [those supernatural forces of evil operating against us], He made a public example of them [exhibiting them as captives in His triumphal procession], having triumphed over them through the cross.

Previously, I had lived in Ward and worked with Dennis Burkhart, on his cray fishing boat. This was the first real job that I enjoyed to do.
Dennis is also a great employer. Dennis and his wife Barbara went out of their way to help me. In many ways, this was a major turning point in my life. I went from a fruitless life on the dole, addicted to drugs and alcohol, to earning my own way and eventually buying a house in Ward.
I still give the credit to God my Father in Heaven. He has helped me and protected me all the way, because He always loved me, and had a great plan for me.
The Golden Elm trees you see, in the photo, I planted about 25 years ago. When I first purchased the half acer property. There was just knee high grass with no fences or hedges. I spent a lot of time renovating and landscaping the property.
Once upon a time I had always desired to live the Kiwi dream with a family and a home. Three times I thought I had it, then lost it all, mostly due to my own fault, living in the sinful, worldly ways.
But Jesus Healed me, and set me free from those demonic strongholds and destructive ways. He has fulfilled that dream for me now, as I have my family in Christ and a mansion awaits me in my real, eternal home with Him.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
John 14:2-3 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
We had left Blenheim late, as we needed to get brother Pio’s medication before leaving. This turned out to be a quite a mission as local doctors would not see him, because he come from out of town. But the Lord made a way, as we contacted an online doctor’s practise, just in time.
We arrived at our Kaikoura camp and parked as the sun was going down. When I hopped out of the bus I noticed a cool crispness in the air. Then I saw the ice capped mountains in the distance.
We decided to go look for some sea food. The guys were keen to buy some crayfish. But when we saw the prices, we quickly moved on to a cheaper fish and chip shop.

The next day, Tuesday, being our day of rest with The Lord, He presented us with a beautiful day.
I went for a lovely prayer walk all the way down to the town and back. As I talked with Jesus, He comforted and ministered with me, putting all things into His divine and perfect perspective.
The Holy Spirit filling me with a fresh anointing of peace love and joy, in all His wonderful wisdom.
Zephaniah 3:17 The Lord your God in your midst,
The Mighty One, will save;
He will rejoice over you with gladness,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.”
The next Day, Wednesday, we set up a barbecue on the Main Street, outside a local pub.
The pub while not opening until late afternoon, provided the perfect location. The weather was cold and showery, but there were still many tourists there from different countries.
However they were not interested in the free sausages, drinks or prayer. We were glad to see at least 5 people, decide to accept Jesus into their hearts. I noticed quite a few very nice local restaurants, which I think looked more appealing to the people.
But what they missed is far greater and more important than anything the world can offer them. Everlasting peace, love, joy and life in Jesus Christ our Saviour, starting from today.
Without Him they will not see Heaven. We ask You Jesus to water Your seeds sown through brother Logen’s preaching, to open their eyes of understanding before it is too late.
Mathew 13:14-15 And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says:
‘Hearing you will hear and shall not understand,
And seeing you will see and not perceive;
For the hearts of this people have grown dull.
Their ears are hard of hearing,
And their eyes they have closed,
Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears,
Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn,
So that I should heal them.’
At about 2.00pm we packed up and continued our journey south to our next destination, Christchurch. On the way, the Toyota Coaster I was driving broke down. The engine suddenly went into lymph mode, losing nearly all power. However it was still drivable at a very slow speed, so I decided to continue on to Cheviot and seek a mechanic there.
Well this happened to be the longest 30 minute drive ever, taking about an hour to get to Cheviot, from where we were. When I come to a hill, the bus would crawl up at about 5 km per hour. But on a down hill, up to 80km. I pulled over as much as possible to let very patient traffic cues pass. There were many prayers, and God my faithful Father, always answers. We made it to Cheviot, thank You Jesus.
John 15:7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
By this time, we were approaching late afternoon, so we needed to call for help ASAP. The local mechanic said it was too late for him to see me, but he gave me the number of a local AA tow truck operator. He also gave me a tip on how to reset the computer, to bring it out of lymph mode.
So I unhooked the positive cable off the battery and left it for 30 minutes, then reconnected, as advised. Of course the prayers and thanks giving to Father continued. Well I started the bus and what do you know, it reset and was back to normal, Hallelujah! praise God. There were many more praises and thanks giving to Jesus all the way to our destination in Waikuku, just north of Christchurch.
Psalm 28:7 The Lord is my strength and my shield;
My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped;
Therefore my heart greatly rejoices,
And with my song I will praise Him.
We made it to the camp reception office just before closing time. We had just enough daylight, to park up the buses and set up the awning for brother Pio, praise God. Praise God, we also could set up a nice big, new heater for him, we acquired a while ago. Finally we could relax and rest.
Thank You Father for helping us, we would not have got here without Your amazing help. Thank You Jesus for strengthening us. Never at anytime, did I panic or worry, because I trust in You at all times Father God, to be my help in trouble. Amen.
Colossians 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.
Thank you for joining us here, we hope you are inspired to step out in an act of faith, to follow Jesus in the calling He has upon your life.
God bless you all, from your brother in Christ, please comment by clicking on the post title.

About Kaikoura….
Kaikōura (/kaɪˈkɔːrə/; Māori pronunciation: [kaiˈkoːuɾa]) is a town on the east coast of the South Island of New Zealand, located on State Highway 1, 180 kilometres (110 mi) north of Christchurch. The town has an estimated permanent resident population of 2,380 as of June 2024. Kaikōura is the seat of the territorial authority of the Kaikōura District, which is part of the Canterbury region.
Kaikōura was first inhabited by the Māori, with the Ngāi Tahu iwi occupying the area since at least 1670. Europeans began to settle in Kaikōura in the mid-1840s. By the 1850s, land that had been acquired was sold to European settlers, who most often started sheep farms in the area. Mount Fyffe in the Seaward Kaikōura Range is named in honour of Robert Fyffe and his family, the first European settlers in the area.

The infrastructure of Kaikōura was heavily damaged in the 2016 Kaikōura earthquake, with one of the two deaths near the town. The bay and surrounding region were uplifted by as much as 2 metres (6 ft 7 in). In 2023, Kaikōura was named as one of the “most beautiful small towns in the world”.
Kaikōura is known for its biodiversity, a wide variety of marine mammals can be seen in the sea, including whales and dolphins.
